Raster Abstracts
14 images Created 19 Oct 2023
The “Raster Abstracts” series are abstract photographic interpretations of raster hydrographs; pixel-based maps of streamflow over time, recorded at stream gauges throughout the United States and U.S. Territories. The years and months of historical streamflow are shown by rows and columns, with cooler colors indicating higher flows and warmer colors, lower flows. The history of streamflow at a location within a watershed can be “seen” in each image.
