Pollution Abstracts

The Pollution in Abstract photographic series is a personal grassroots campaign I began in 1990 to educate people about stormwater pollution issues and serve as an innovative means for encouraging pollution prevention. The close-up color abstract images of the iridescent swirls of oil and gasoline in stormwater are intended to attract and then educate viewers of the photography. It is my hope that once viewers realize what they are seeing in these photographs they will become aware of this subtle--yet insidious--form of pollution that is all around us and take steps in their personal lives to reduce their contributions to the pollution of stormwater.
